How does motion detection actually work?

The camera captures images at a fixed frame rate (e.g., 20fps). The algorithm compares the current frame with the previous one. When pixels (such as brightness, color) in a certain area of the image change significantly and continuously, the system determines it as "motion." Therefore, turning lights on/off or curtains moving can also trigger motion alerts.
